This statement pertains to all activities of Business Energy UK.

Business Energy UK is a premier price comparison service provider specialising in the business energy sector. Our objective is to assist businesses in making informed and beneficial decisions based on accurate and unbiased comparisons.

Our key suppliers encompass data and software service providers, market research firms, and occasionally, customer service outsourcing companies. We acknowledge that modern slavery risks may exist, however small, within some of these sectors.

The organisation operates exclusively within the United Kingdom.

Relevant Policies

Our People & Culture team formulates policies that reinforce the ethical standards and core values of Business Energy UK. Our Managing Director, Chris Richards, endorses all policies.

The organisation has implemented the following policies that detail its approach to identifying modern slavery risks and steps to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations:

Whistleblowing Policy

We encourage all our employees, customers, and other business partners to report any concerns related to our business activities or supply chains. This includes circumstances that may heighten the risk of slavery or human trafficking. Individuals with concerns can approach their line manager or our People & Culture team.

Our Employee Handbook specifies the actions and behaviour expected of our employees when representing Business Energy UK. We aim to uphold high standards of conduct and ethical behaviour within our operations and supply chain. New joiners receive the handbook upon induction and are informed about the signs of modern slavery and what steps to take if they suspect its presence in our business or supply chain.

Recruitment/Agency Workers Policy

We engage only reputable employment agencies to source workers and always validate the practices of any new agency before accepting workers from it.

Supplier Due Diligence

We undertake due diligence when considering new suppliers and routinely review our existing ones to ensure their practices align with our ethical standards.
