Gnergy
Gnergy, like many small energy providers in the UK, collapsed due to the ongoing energy crisis, which has been characterized by volatile wholesale gas prices and regulatory price caps.

These factors made it difficult for smaller firms to remain financially viable. As part of the broader energy crisis that began in 2021, a wave of companies ceased operations, and their customers were typically transferred to larger suppliers under a government-backed “Supplier of Last Resort” process.
Gnergy was one of several companies affected by these market conditions.
Their customers went to Bulb, which in turn also went bust being absorbed into Octopus Energy.
